Performances

Here at Explosions, Inc. we love entertaining and educating people with the power of science. Science shows are what we do best and we want to do them for you.

Our Science Show topics include:

  • Chemistry - Signs of a chemical reaction as learned through extreme, high-energy chemistry and (of course) explosions

  • Combustion - Here's where we really earn our name, as we light things up in rainbow flames, blow all sorts of stuff to high heaven, and toss in just a pinch of thermodynamics for good measure

  • Physics - Newton's laws by way of martial arts, ballistics, and death-defying stunts

Within the broad themes of our shows, we are happy to customize the content for specific age groups and venues. Scientific concepts can be targeted to match your educational interests, demos can be modified to be more or less intensive, and in general we will work with you to provide a show that is exciting, entertaining, and engaging for all involved. With enough lead time it is even sometimes possible to develop a brand new show on an all-new topic. As hard as it may be to believe, not every experiment we perform necessarily ends in a fiery explosion!

Regardless of the specific form your show takes, you can be sure that things will get set on fire, objects will be destroyed, and explosions will most definitely occur. Oh, and, also, everyone will leave with enormous smiles on their faces because they just experienced something really special.

For an idea of what one of our shows is like, check out this concert video of a show we performed at the historic Bing Crosby Theater in Spokane, Washington in the summer of 2013.

Standard length shows are 45 minutes. They can be made longer or shorter on request, with a minimum length of 25 minutes and a maximum length of 75 minutes. Shorter shows leave out some cool stuff to fit into the necessary timeframe; longer shows may lose the attention of some of the younger members of the audience. No matter what's going on up on stage little ones tend to get antsy as the show creeps toward an hour and a half.

Our two-man shows are geared towards medium to large venues and events. We are more than happy to perform smaller, single-person shows in our local areas for schools, libraries, and even birthday parties. If that's more your speed, please check out our Local Shows page.
